Have you ever heard someone say that religion and logic don’t go together? Or maybe you’ve wondered yourself if Islam really fits into our modern, scientific world. It is completely normal to have these questions! But the truth might surprise you. Islam is a deeply logical faith. It is filled with amazing scientific facts, incredible future prophecies, and beautiful patterns that make you stop and think. To help guide us, Allah gave us the Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.Over 1,400 years ago, the Prophet ﷺ talked about things that would happen in the far future. Back then, people couldn’t even imagine them. But today, we see these exact things happening all around us.Let’s take a look at some of these unbelievable prophecies that are coming true right before our eyes.
1.The Rise of Competing Skyscrapers

“you see the barefoot, naked, destitute shepherds competing in constructing tall buildings”
For centuries, the Arabian Peninsula was characterized by its vast deserts, where Bedouin communities engaged in a simple way of life. In the wake of the mid-20th-century oil boom, the region experienced a remarkable change. Nowadays, from the Burj Khalifa in Dubai to the impressive towers of Riyadh, neighboring nations are literally in competition to see who can erect the tallest buildings on Earth.

2. The Increase of Frequent Earthquakes

“The Hour will not be established until religious knowledge is taken away, and earthquakes will increase”
With the advent of modern seismology and global monitoring systems, our generation tracks thousands of earthquakes every single year. The phrasing perfectly mirrors our current reality, where natural disasters, seismic shifts, and instant global news coverage keep geological volatility constantly in the public eye.
Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 7121
3. The Reverting of the Arabian Desert to Green Meadows

“The Hour will not be established until… the land of Arabia reverts to being meadows and rivers.”
For centuries, this seemed impossible. However, today, massive agricultural projects, modern irrigation technology, and sudden shifts in climate patterns are literally turning parts of the Saudi Arabian desert green. Furthermore, modern geology and satellite imagery have proven that thousands of years ago, Arabia was filled with rivers and lush vegetation—perfectly matching the Prophet’s specific word choice: “reverts” (returns) to being green.
Sahih Muslim, Hadith 157c
4. The Acceleration of Time
“The Hour will not be established until time passes rapidly, such that a year is like a month…”
In today’s fast-paced digital age, modern technology, global communication, and constant screen-time have psychologically distorted our perception of time. Everyone—regardless of where they live—notes how rapidly the months and years seem to pass by now compared to the past.
Reference: Jami` al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 2332
5. Widespread and Casual Killing (Al-Harj)

“The Hour will not be established until Harj increases.” They said, “What is Harj, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “Killing, killing.
We see this tragic reality clearly in modern geopolitical crises, indiscriminate bombings, and ongoing global warfare (such as the devastating conflicts and losses of innocent lives in Palestine, Ukraine, and other regions across the globe), where civilian lives are lost casually on a massive scale due to modern military technology.
Sahih Muslim, Hadith 157d
